Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchangers
Tantalum shell-and-tube heat exchangers are designed for reliable heat transfer in chemical and pharmaceutical processes. They are particularly suited to applications involving aggressive process media at high temperatures, in both continuous and batch operation.
Depending on the plant design, the equipment can be installed horizontally or vertically. The shell, heads, tube sheets, nozzles, tubes and baffles are designed to meet the process requirements while also allowing for effective cleaning and maintenance.
Available configurations include carbon steel or stainless steel shells with an axial expansion joint. The heads can be manufactured from glass, glass-lined steel, or carbon steel or stainless steel with a tantalum lining. Carbon Steel, stainless steel PTFE -lined or PFA-lined heads are also available.
The result is a heat exchanger tailored to the process data and installation conditions. Standardized designs may also be available, depending on the process requirements.
