In chemical and pharmaceutical plants, measuring points are often in direct contact with highly corrosive process media. For these applications, Tantec manufactures a wide range of components made from solid tantalum or with a tantalum lining.

For flow measurement, we manufacture electrodes and grounding rings; for pressure measurement, diaphragm seal bodies. Thermowells and protected temperature probes are used for temperature measurement, while funnels and floats are used for level measurement.

The material configuration is determined by the function of the respective component. Electrodes, grounding rings, thermowells and floats can be manufactured entirely from tantalum. For diaphragm seals and certain level measurement components, tantalum is selectively used as a lining material on a stainless steel base body.

All components are manufactured to customer specifications and tailored to the respective measuring point. Tantalum provides the corrosion-resistant barrier, protecting the instrument housing from the process medium.
