Columns
Columns perform distillation and rectification tasks while often being exposed to permanently aggressive media, elevated temperatures and changing pressure conditions. Tantalum is therefore used specifically in places where conventional materials do not offer sufficient corrosion resistance.
Depending on the structure, Tantec manufactures complete columns, individual column shots with lined or explosion-clad tantalum constructions. For applications under vacuum, special lining concepts such as our patented CounterVacSystem are available.
Support rings, inlet pipes and other installations can be integrated into the design right from the start. In this way, geometry, mechanical load, process control and connections to the overall system can be coordinated.
