Bayonet Heaters
Bayonet heaters transfer heat directly into vessels or evaporators. They are primarily used in evaporation processes involving corrosive process media and where the available installation space requires a custom-designed solution.
Depending on the equipment design, bayonet heaters can be installed horizontally or vertically in glass or glass-lined steel equipment. The tube sheet, tubes and baffles are designed to withstand the thermal and mechanical loads arising under the specified operating conditions.
Possible configurations include carbon steel or stainless steel steam bonnets, tantalum-lined tube sheets, PTFE baffles and tantalum heating tubes.
